Unfriended
Last summer at the Fantasia Festival, we were introduced to then Cybernatural, now known as Unfriended. While the film may be looked at as pointless by some, the supernatural teen horror project has developed a buzz surrounding it through various YouTube and Twitter ad-campaigns over the last month.
The various found footage film from a set of allegedly fictional characters come into fruition after a group of teenagers post a video of their high school classmate, Laura Barns, who’s passed out during a party. Days later she kills herself, but a year later, the ghost of Laura is back for revenge to surprise her former friends.
During a private Skype chat with former classmates, they soon find themselves haunted by a supernatural force using the account of their dead classmate. We’re not sure if this is something we want to sit through in theaters, but if horror-thriller projects are your vice, then this is a must-see after the NBA Playoff games are off.
