Only a year removed from the original A Haunted House, the series get a second installment. Some may think this is Marlon Wayans’ attempt to counter the success his brother Keenen Ivory Wayans had in the past with Scary Movie, but Marlon has insisted the franchise will not become stale due to its independence from the majors. After years of seeing his older brothers in the limelight, Marlon finally gets his due, which at the moment doesn’t seem to be slowing down given the positive reviews he’s received thus far.
Now with the addition of the lovely and very down to earth Jaime Pressly, the two are definitely set to engage in more paranormal-like hilarity and original content. After the games go off this weekend, we would recommend this movie if you’re looking to get into something in the late. It’s almost 4/20, so that should be incentive enough to get some laughs in.
