Brick Mansions
As one of the final films for Paul Walker before his unfortunate death last holiday 2013, French-Canadian action thriller, Brick Mansions spreads positivity centering on the inner-city youth of Detroit. Serving as a remake to the 2004 film District 13, the movie stars the previously mentioned Paul Walker, David Belle and Wu-Tang Clan founder the RZA.
The 90-minute screening offers up some of the best action we can look forward to this spring that’s not a superhero-themed release. The film centers on an undercover cop who gets help from a least likely associate, in an attempt to bring down a crime lord and king of the abandoned brick mansions (hence the film title). We’re not recommending this as a must see, but if you’re out and about Sunday afternoon before the big games come on, this wouldn’t be a bad affair if you have some spare time.
