The Diary of a Teenage Girl
Originally premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival last January, we’re introduced to The Diary of a Teenage Girl. Starring Bel Powley, Alexander Skarsgård, and Kristen Wiig – the comedy-drama film centers on Minnie Goetze, and how she convinced her mother’s boyfriend Monroe to have an affair. Centered in the 1970s of San Francisco, 15-year-old girl Minnie is out on a sexual odyssey at the expense of her mother Charlotte’s relationship in a sarcastic approach to a coming of age. Based on the original 2002 novel, The Diary of a Teenage Girl: An Account in Words and Pictures, Kristen Wiig may have another lead-role gem once again with its theatrical release.
