The Maid’s Room
Michael Walker’s psychological thriller, The Maid’s Room finally sees its American theatrical release. Starring Paula Garcés (another run to White Castle?), Annabella Sciorra, and Bill Camp among others; we explore a tale of an attractive maid by the name of Drina who’s on maid service to a Hampton family by the name of the Crawfords.
With the Mr. and Mrs. spending most of their time in Manhattan, Drina is forced to watch their soon to be college son, Brandon. Noticing the wild events Brandon and his friends do at the house with parties every night, she soon notices him returning back in a drunken state – but also a large red smear on his vehicle. Upon finding out the next morning there’s fatal hit-and-run the night before, Drina must decide whether to call local authorities or stay quiet.
She soon learns speaking out could even put her life in danger but is undecided on doing the right thing. The Maid’s Room has an intriguing storyline for casual goers to at least give a one-time sitting, but depending on presentation and in-depth storyline – the thriller could be gem this weekend.
