Jupiter Ascending
The biggest release this weekend is without a doubt Warner Bros. Pictures $175 million dollar project, Jupiter Ascending – starring Channing Tatum, Mila Kunis, Eddie Redmayne, Douglas Booth and Sean Bean. Using elements from both The Matrix and Star Wars, the space opera film has a semi-intriguing storyline set around a young caretaker, who is soon summoned genetically engineered hunter by a from a Jupiter, Caine.
While her low-key previous life of cleaning houses comes to an end, Jupiter Jones must soon help Caine save the fate of many lives within the families of the planet. Unfortunately, an anti-hero Balem hero is targeting her on bounty and is out to destroy anything in his path to make sure she doesn’t save the innocent. If the response from its Sundance Film Festival premiere two weeks ago was great, movie goers will have their chance to enjoy the 2-hour experience this winter.
