Still Alice
Last September’s Toronto International Film Festival saw a gem, with the release of Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland’s drama film Still Alice. Based on Lisa Genova’s 2007 bestselling novel, the motion picture release stars Julianne Moore, Alec Baldwin, Kristen Stewart, Kate Bosworth and Hunter Parrish among others. Even with the project being a victim of the Sony hack, the big film distribution project is still being touted as one of the big releases to start 2015. Julianna assumes the role of an vibrant college professor, Alice Howland, who sadly has to endure an early case of the Alzheimer’s disease. Previously living the normal life dream of a happily married woman with three adult children, Alice soon sees her mind destroyed by the disease, with her closest ones helping her cope through the life changing experience.
