The Boy Next Door
Aside from moderate roles in the under-the-radar releases and being one of the many voices for 20th Century Fox animated series Ice Age series, Jennifer Lopez finally returns back to the main spotlight of box offices. Similar to her 2002 release of Enough, the Latina superstar stars in potentially her first box office hit since the 2010 film, The Back-up Plan. J-Lo assumes the role of high school teacher Claire Peterson, who unfortunately is cold and lonely in a new town she’s arrived in following a nasty divorce. An 18-year-old student, Noah Sandborn (Ryan Guzman) soon seduces her and develops an eye-raising obsession with Ms. Peterson. While Claire only thought the lituation would be a one-night stand, but is in for the surprise of her life, when Ryan threatens her career and freedom in a sick twisted ploy. The $4 million budgeted project from Universal Pictures is sure to re-up its investment tonight alone, but we’re recommending this key release to check out before and after the weekend’s NFL games.
