Movies To Watch This Weekend (July 10, 2015)

The Gallows

Much like Self/less, we have another thriller release on deck, but this one has tons of horror elements blended in to bring some summer scares to those in need. Starring Reese Mishler, Cassidy Gifford, Ryan Shoos, Pfeifer Brown and Alexis Schneider, we’re introduced to new found-footage project, The Gallows. Warner Bros. distributed motion picture may be under-the-radar to some, but its compelling storyline should be intriguing enough for movie goers this weekend. The film dates back to a 1993 incident during a high-school production film The Gallows, which resulted in a young teenager Charlie Grimille dying.

20 years later, the play’s revival sees the resurrection Charlie, who’s out to revenge his noose death. The collective of students soon realize they’re trapped in the school’s auditorium, as a night of terror from Charlie is imminent for his vengeful ways of getting justice for his previous death.
