French-American sci-fi/action film, Lucy finally sees a surprisingly early stateside release. Shot in Paris and parts of NYC, the superhero film starring Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman sees a young woman Lucy (Scar) who is forced to become a drug mule for the Taiwan Mob.
When the dark deal is in its peak stages, a drug implanted in her body creates capabilities beyond human logic. Along with the ability to move objects with her mind among other rare abilities, she also is granted usage for more than 10 percent of her normal brain’s capacity, thus making her superhuman. We would’ve liked to see a bit more promotion than normal, but hopefully another Johansson role doesn’t fall under-the-radar this weekend.
