Terminator Genisys
How could we go a 4th of July weekend without one of the most prominent American figures in the history of the country. Legendary actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger is back for the fifth installment of the popular Terminator series and is set to take over box offices as the net summer blockbuster. With Paramount Pictures dumping nearly $200 million into its budget, Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke co-headlines Terminator Genisys, for a 2029 experience.
Alongside Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, Lee Byung-hun and J. K. Simmons, the Terminator assassin returns from its original 1984 setting, but an unexpected change of events alters John Connors plans of protecting his mother and sister Sarah. Arnold, like years past, plays the Terminator guardian and is looking to help Sarah fend off Skynet to reset the future. While the story may offer some confusing nostalgia to the blind eye (or those new to the series), it’s already receiving praise from critics and most of all, movie goers.
