Playing It Cool
A romantic-comedy? Yes, rom-com fans, you finally have one to potentially enjoy this weekend with he releases of Playing It Cool (previously A Many Splintered Thing). Starring Chris Evans, Michelle Monaghan, Anthony Mackie, Aubrey Plaza, Patrick Warburton, Ashley Tisdale, Ioan Gruffudd, Topher Grace and Giovanni Ribisi – the new limited release is finally hitting theaters from a video-on-demand release last March.
The film focuses on Narrator (Evans), who has a platonic relationship with Her (Monaghan) – a woman in a relationship that is already engaged. Initially, he’s against the idea of love and in a battle with his publisher, who’s against him writing action-themed stories. Narrator soon is motivated to share his experiences from an extremely unlikely source, after playing in cool (pun intended) with the mysterious lady.
