Usually when Nicki Minaj is invited to hit the stage, she’s killing it and performing some of her greatest hits. Things were a little different for Shining A Light: A Concert for Progress on Race in America, though. Live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, Nicki got on the stage and read Maya Angelou‘s poem titled “Still I Rise” for the audience in attendance, toning down the aggression and keeping things light for the poetry recital.
