After several false alarms, the Nike Air Yeezy 2 has finally got a release date. The hype around this shoe has been building up since 2009, months after one of the most sought after shoes in Nike history, the Nike Air Yeezy was released, sneaker fans had already started to speculate the Air Yeezy 2. There were numerous sketches and fusion-like possible Air Yeezy 2 pictures floating around the net for 2 years, until Kanye himself debuted the official Air Yeezy 2 model in Kobe Bryants short film “Black Mamba”.
The hype grew much stronger as Yeezy constantly toyed with sneaker fans for a whole year, randomly seen wearing different colorways making fans want the release more. The original set release date for the Air Yeezy 2 was for April 2012, but Nike decided to go back to the drawing board and pushed the release back to June. The Nike Air Yeezy 2 will be a limited quickstrike release and will only be available in select global retailers June 9th.
