The Pokémon Universe is starting!
Following the success of their mobile iOS game and dominating the entire video game industry, Nintendo is looking to upstart a new universe centered around Pokémon. This week, Legendary Pictures announced Get Down star, Justice Smith, has officially landed the lead-role for their upcoming Detective Pikachu film. The film is set to become the first ever live-action Pokémon movie, for the 21-year-old Japanese franchise. Universal Pictures is set to handle distribution for the project outside of its home country; which will be a similar partnership both have for Godzilla.
