This weekend, the film world lost an amazing talent when Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his Manhattan apartment. Built in with all the mourning of his untimely passing is the question about his projects that have not yet been released (most notably Hunger Games: Mockingjay, the final installment of the series).

According to sources close to the studio, the films will still be released on time and without delay. Apparently Hoffman finished all of his scenes for part 1 of the film and had just seven days left of shooting on Mockingjay-Part 2. So as it stands, the films will be released on November 21, 2014 and November 20, 2015.

Hoffman also filmed a pilot for Showtime titled Happyish, that will more than likely have to be cancelled, which is a shame because it sounded like it was going to be great.

“Philip Seymour Hoffman was a singular talent and one of the most gifted actors of our generation. We’re very fortunate that he graced our Hunger Games family,” said the studio in a statement. “Losing him in his prime is a tragedy, and we send our deepest condolences to Philip’s family.”
