“I have two universes: there’s the Quentin universe & the Movie universe”. (C) Quentin Tarantino
As a follow-up to every MotherF*king Samuel L. Jackson MotherF*cker line, HuffPost Live now explores Quentin Tarantino’s complex cinematic universe. To the naked eye, lines in Quentin’s movies may go over heads, but his witty films go way deeper than many could imagine. Dating back to 1994’s Pulp Fiction, he essentially broke down the premise Kill Bill nearly a decade before its theatrical release during the infamous diner scene starring Uma Thurman.
Reservoir Dogs, True Romance and Inglourious Basterds are also connected in the same universe making multiple references to each other before their sequential releases. Ironically, Tarantino’s readying another Western to release December of 2015, which stars Samuel L. Jackson, Amber Tamblyn and Kurt Russell in The Hateful Eight. While this is just the tip of the iceberg of references, we’re intrigued what’s in store for the future of his movie universe.
