Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ Gets New Release Date

Still watching on August 9th. . .

Before an official teaser arrives later this year, Sony Pictures has shared some unfortunate news regarding a major release next summer. The film company revealed that Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will be changing its original August 9, 2019.

Initially, the film was scheduled to arrive on the 50th anniversary of the murders by Charles Manson’s followers; but Sony is looking to avoid any further controversy. With no reason behind, the film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, will now be hitting theaters on July 26, 2019.

Tarantino said in a statement, “It takes place at the height of the counterculture explosion. It takes place at the time of the hippie revolution, and it takes place at the height of new Hollywood.” He’s calling his project the most similar in style and plotting to the 1994 masterpiece, Pulp Fiction.

Let us know in the comments if you’re waiting a week later for the official anniversary.
