The Manson Murders are coming to the big screen. . .
For the last few years, Quentin Tarantino has been teasing his retirement from film. Well, before he leaves the game forever, he has a few more controversial tales to share with the world.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Q.T. is readying a new film, that will focus on the infamous Manson murders from the ‘70s. The project, which is set to be his first film based on true events, is already having a script developed this summer. While he and his partners shop the project to studios for co-financing, production is being aimed to start in 2018.
As expected, the Weinstein Brothers and Samuel L. Jackson are already confirmed to have contributions. However, he’s also is looking to have Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence have a significant role in his next effort. The movie is likely to be centered on the 1969 killing spree Charles Manson led with his cult family, before being sentenced to life imprisonment two years later.
We’re assuming he’s trying to get this story out to the public, while Charles is still alive. But let us know in the comments if you’re interested in a movie centered around the Manson murders.
