David Letterman is usually the person quizzing guests on their career, but during last night’s episode, it was Ricky Gervais explaining the negatives of retirement. The UK comedian analyzed how David leaving the job would ruin everyone’s routine, rather than free time to spend with family. Other factors included no longer receiving money to listen to people speak and having no excuse to not attend events.
Letterman also spoke on the suggestion of doing a series similar to Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, but bringing along guests to fish instead.
