
Spider-Man is still in high school for 2017
19-year-old UK actor-dancer, Tom Holland has officially been cast to star as the new Spider-Man. Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures made the official announcement just moments ago, which Holand will assume the new role of Peter Parker for the upcoming 2017 release of Spider-Man. Andrew Garfield, who’s now retired from the series starred as Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2. Jon Watts has also been tapped to direct the project, who’s known for his upcoming Sundance thriller, Cop Car. Principle filming for the project is set to begin sometime next year, which will arrive to theaters in IMA and 3D on July 28, 2017.
