We have frustrating news out of Hollywood today, with the news that Zack Snyder’s Superman Vs. Batman films release date has been pushed back from July 17, 2015 to May 6, 2016. Warner Bros. revealed their reasoning for the delay being so that Snyder and his crew could fully grasp their creative minds around the upcoming film. Rumors has it that they are still in talks with actors for the main villain role, with Joaquin Phoenix and Bryan Cranston are being considered. They would join an already stacked cast that features Henry Cavill, returning as Superman and Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader.

Some of the trickle down effect from this film being pushed to 2016 is that Warner Bros. will now push their new version of the Peter Pan franchise in that July 17, 2015 release date. Moving Superman Vs. Batman out of 2015 may also be a smart move just for the fact that that Summer alone is stacked with sequels to major blockbusters including The Avengers 2, Jurassic Park, Fantastic Four and Fast & Furious. Stay tuned for more developments on the production as they are released.
