Netflix is stepping up their original series and they’re doing so in a big way. They’re spending mad money on the budgets. Case in point this new series called The Crown, which just released a trailer. Just the first season was budgeted at an estimated $130 million dollars. That officially makes it the most expensive TV series of all time.
So what’s so special about it? The series goes across the pond to explore the life of Queen Elizabeth II as a 25-year-old newlywed as she takes over the throne following the death of her father George VI. Of course, she is faced with plenty of personal challenges and you can bet the likes of Prince Philip and Winston Churchill will appear, as the queen manages those two in her life.
Balancing her private life and public life in the eyes of the people will be difficult, but judging on how she’s withstood the test of time, it all came with difficulties.
The Crown will hit Netflix on November 4.
