The Evolution of Special Effects on “Game of Thrones”

If it’s one thing on Game of Thrones besides the writing that makes the show so popular, it would have to be the special effects that are put in post-production. From the vast scenery to the way heads explode, it plays an integral part of the series. And it’s only gotten better through time. From season one to season five, the effects have gotten that much better.

In this video, VFX supervisor Joe Bauer talks about some of the best moments in the HBO series thus far and some back story about the scenes when they shot them.
