This movie may have been better suited for a Halloween release rather than post-Valentine’s Day, but a horror film in February may be suitable to some. The Lazarus Effect stars Evan Peters, Olivia Wilde, Mark Duplass and Donald Glover as medical professionals, who have miraculously found a way to bring animals back from the dead. The code name for this miracle serum is called Lazarus.
After Zoe (Wilde) accidentally dies in the lab while performing experiments, the team tries to revive her with their newfound techniques. Except they discover that she comes back with unusual abilities that are delivered from evil.
The David Gelb-directed film is due out in theaters on February 27.
