J. Cole has dropped a documentary or two of his own, but we’ve never really seen him involved in someone else’s work. That is until now. The Fayetteville rapper is a co-producer of the new PBS docuseries Raising Bertie, which will chronicle the lives of three young men as director Margaret Byrne follows their respective lives and tells their stories.
The boys involved have a special place in Byrne’s heart and she merely wants to open people’s eyes to their lives in North Carolina and how they’re coming of age in the rural town of North Carolina.
