If you’re looking for something to watch on TV, maybe this Janet Jackson documentary will tickle your fancy. JANET is a product of Lifetime and A&E, with the film directed by Ben Hirsch. The project is five years in the making and the trailer finds Janet’s 1986 single “Control” as the soundtrack.
The likes of Missy Elliott, Mariah Carey, Paula Abdul and Tito Jackson make appearances.
The documentary will explore Jackson’s career setbacks, her biggest successes and stories you may never have heard before. Stories like motherhood, the loss of her brother Michael and her family upbringing as well as exclusive home videos, celebrity interviews and archival footage will show up in the film.
Expect the two-night, four-hour documentary to premiere on January 22, 2022.
