When Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory was released from prison in early 2024 after serving 19 years, many expected the BMF co-founder to receive a hero’s welcome throughout hip-hop. Instead, his return was quickly overshadowed by allegations and public accusations from several figures, including Wack 100 and Bleu DaVinci, with Dion “Cuffy” Gatling later offering his own account of events.
While Meech largely stayed silent amid the back-and-forth, Gatling detailed his perspective during a phone interview with Sean G’s The Podcast with Soul. More than a year later, Meech finally addressed the controversy during his first post-release interview with Icewear Vezzo, choosing to respond on his own terms.
Now, another voice has revisited the conversation. In a recent clip shared on his platform, Poetik Flakko publicly walked back previous comments he made about Big Meech, acknowledging that after reviewing paperwork from a former business associate, his perspective had changed. Flakko also discussed conversations involving members of Gatling’s family while explaining why he felt it was necessary to revisit the topic.
