Kristen F’n Wiig hits the lottery in new comedy
Since leaving Saturday Night Live two years, Kristen Wiig has provided us with some of our favorite independent films in recent years (see: Girl Most Likely, The Skeleton Twins). The NY actress assumes her latest role as Alice Klieg, a lady who wins $86 million in lottery and starts her own talk show.
Determined to gain fame and live out her Oprah dreams, she’s fresh from quitting her meds – and is suffering from borderline personality disorder. While the project has been well-received at last Septembers Toronto International Film Festival, the adventures with Alice will have movie goers intrigued for a spring experience.
Also starring James Marsden and Linda Cardellini, look for Welcome to Me in theaters this May 8, 2015.
