Big Sean – Dark Sky Paradise

While people often compare the quality of his mixtapes to albums, there’s no denying Big Sean‘s determination to evolve. Appropriately enough, Dark Sky Paradise feels like his murkiest yet, and has a strong resemblance to the fan-favourite Detroit from 2012. Recorded in his own home, the album was put together on his own terms, calling on features from Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown and more. But thanks to beats from the likes of Boi-1da, Vinylz, DJ Mustard and Mike WiLL Made It, he’s managed to create some of his hardest tracks to date.
