When Get Rich Or Di Tryin’ came out, not even 50 Cent pictured a day like this. But the rapper/actor/mogul has now made history by getting his own star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Eminem and Dr. Dre were there to see the special moment for Fif, as the ceremony took place on the intersection of Hollywood and Vine.
Eminem spoke at the ceremony, recalling what he thought when he first signed him to Shady Records and their friendship over the years:
Fifty then took the stage and apologized to Jimmy Iovine, joked why he wanted his star by Donald Trump’s and why this star is a lifetime achievement, since throughout his career, he didn’t receive many. He also fought back tears when he told the story of Mary J. Blige calling him to congratulate him.
Though the music has slowed down for him in recent years, his business acumen is on full throttle as he has developed TV series for STARZ, ABC and more.
