Don’t expect Daniel Hernandez to hide out in witness protection any time soon because the artist known as 6ix9ine plans to continue doing what he was doing before he got caught up in racketeering charges with his Nine Trey Bloods associates.
According to TMZ, he will forgo witness protection and go back to living the celebrity life, except with more beefed up private security.
Tekashi plans to use the money he made before to hire an around-the-clock team for him and his family, because they fear they are at target from his snitching to the feds on his former gang. He also doesn’t plan on stopping his rap career, as he looks to continue making music once he gets out of jail on a reduced sentence for cooperating with the government.
Though he faces a minimum of 47 years in prison, he believes he will be out as early as next year for his role in the case.
The New York Times reports that the government has been successful relocating and protecting high-profile witnesses in the past, but 6ix9ine is opting out.
