6ix9ine Documentary Series ‘SuperVillain’ Announced

Rolling Stone and Showtime have announced a new 6ix9ine documentary series called SuperVillain. The three-part series will follow Tekashi’s career from working at an NYC deli, to becoming a viral sensation, and then convicted criminal in prison.

“Tekashi 6ix9ine’s story fits into Rolling Stone’s history of epic narratives about the most important and controversial artists of our times,” Rolling Stone president and COO Gus Wenner said. “We are thrilled to work with Showtime, Imagine and Lightbox on the definitive docuseries of Tekashi’s meteoric rise and spectacular fall.”

SuperVillain is based on Stephen Witt’s Rolling Stone feature, ‘Tekashi 6ix9ine: The Rise and Fall of a Hip-Hop Supervillain.’
