‘We Got It From Here… Thank You 4 Your Service’ out now!
After 20 years, A Tribe Called Quest have finally returned to the throne for Billboard’s Top 100. The legendary hip-hop group topped the charts this week for their new album, We Got It From Here… Thank You 4 Your Service, generating 135 equivalent album units.
The group garnered 112,000 traditional sales to achieve their highest debut since the 1996 release, Beats, Rhymes and Life. This marks the largest gap for a hip-hop act in the chart’s history to top the Billboard 200. Coincidentally, Jeezy held the record just two weeks ago for an eight-year gap in between his 2008 release of The Recession and this month’s Trap or Die 3.
