Last week, Q-Tip took to social media to announce that A Tribe Called Quest would be releasing their final album on November 11th. Now, in a new piece by The New York Times, Q-Tip and Jarobi White have revealed that the new album is titled We Got It from Here, Thank You for Your Service. The project, which was recorded just before Phife Dawg passed away, features the likes of André 3000, Kendrick Lamar, Elton John, Jack White and Busta Rhymes.
Speaking on Q-Tip and Phife Dawg in the studio, Busta Rhymes said: “I seen them laughing and joking and high-fiving, and you can just see that young, invigorated ‘we’re-just-getting-our-first-opportunity-to-do-this’ energy again! I hadn’t seen Phife that happy since we were kids.”
