It’s been just over a month since Ab-Soul released his new album Do What Thou Wilt. after much demand. The TDE rapper recently broke down “RAW (backwards)” with Genius, but while he was there, he also shed some light on another track from the LP — “D.R.U.G.S.”
The acronym stands for “don’t ruin us God said,” which is a line Soulo used on Lupe Fiasco’s track “They. Resurrect. Over. New.” “I wanted it to be vulnerable,” he says about the track. “When we do these things — drugs, whatever is ill to you — you think about what your mom would say.”
