Leading on from a short documentary with Lucki Eck$, the good people at Closed Sessions have released another short piece on two other rising Chicago emcees. This time, we’re taken into the world of both Alex Wiley and Mick Jenkins, who have recently been known to collaborate on a number of tracks. The three-minute piece follows the creation of “Own Man,” while discussing their musical aims, the process of piecing together rhymes, capturing personality and inspiring each other to do better.
