If you lived in the Tri-State or the Bay Area during the 90s, Angie Martinez and Sway Calloway’s interviews with Tupac should be some of the most memorable events in rap you’ve ever encountered. Tomorrow, Angie Martinez is launching her “The Angie Review” project at 3pm ET, which will feature some rare interviews and stories from the legendary radio personality.
Speaking of which and jumping back to Pac, Angie revealed with Sway she recorded a 2-hour interview but only aired 5-minutes of sit-down to avoid East Coast / West Coast drama at the time. Now 18-years later, she plans to release the interview after calmer heads have prevailed and unfortunate passing of both Makaveli and Frank White.
