We’re not quite sure how many of this year’s XXL Freshmen actually cooked up an original verse for this freestyle segment but we can at least guarantee that BlocBoy JB did. Kicking things off by mentioning the magazine in his verse, he delivers the slow Memphis slur bars for a minute. Fans will debate which artist had the best freestyle for weeks, but at the least, Bloc represents and doesn’t recycle any rhymes for it.
