Blood Orange has teamed up with Puff Daddy and Tei Shi on a new song called “Hope” from his Negro Swan album. Diddy and Tei Shi trade vocals on the track, while Dev Hynes plays the producer role with vocals on both the intro and outro.
“He was a fan of my last album and somehow got my number and called me and we ended up talking a lot. It was pretty strange,” Dev told The Guardian about Puff. “Anyway I was working on that song [Hope] and thinking how his presence on it would be really cool, so I sent it to him. Literally the next morning he sent me all this audio back. He just said that, musically, that’s what it evoked in him.”
Negro Swan also features A$AP Rocky, Project Pat, Steve Lacy and others.
