The GS9 case is finally over after nearly two years!
Since December 2014, Bobby Shmurda, Rowdy Rebel and their friends of GS9 Entertainment have been locked in prison. Today, Ackquille ‘Bobby Shmurda’ Pollard and co-defendant, Chad ‘Rowdy Rebel’ Marshall returned to Manhattan Supreme Court where they were facing up to 25 years to life – if convicted over murder conspiracy and weapon possession.
However, after deliberating with their lawyers and working out a deal with the Special Narcotics Prosecutor’s office, the two rappers, along with other co-defendants accept a light 7-year sentence.
After their 2014 bust, 69 guns were confiscated during their original arrest, as their criminal lawyer, Alex Spiro, was lucky to strike a plea deal. Both rappers will remain locked up until they’re officially sentenced later this year, which should also reveal when they’ll be eligible for parole.
