Already regarded as one of the standout rap releases of the year, the Clipse aren’t letting the momentum cool off as summer hits its stride. This week, Houston’s own DJ Slim K delivers his official Chopped Not Slopped remix of Let GOD Sort ‘Em Out, the duo’s Roc Nation debut.
For those who’ve already run the original back and picked apart every lyric, Slim K’s PURPLE treatment gives the project a new layer of weight, slowing it down to let the words cut even deeper. The tape captures Pusha T and Malice in rare form, with the slowed tempo emphasizing the rawness of their delivery and the coldness in the production.
