Emanating from the 2014 SXSW Music and Film Festival, Lil Wayne was the next guest for Elliot Wilson’s CRWN interview series. The obvious elephant in the room was information pertaining to Tha Carter V, which could possibly be his last recording for a long period.
Wayne’s approaching the album as his final project, which he revealed the grind is more harder in comparison to previous released projects; with expectations being so high for an artist with a career of stature. His run through 2006 and 2008 was discussed, as Wayne revealed it was motivation from Jay-Z’s retirement in 2004 to take over the entire rap game.
