Saginaw, Michigan soul machine Curtis Harding is getting ready to release his new album Face Your Fear on October 27th, which will be the follow-up to 2014’s debut Soul Power. The former Cee-Lo Green backing singer is sharing his new single “Wednesday Morning Atonement” today, which is produced by the one and only Danger Mouse.
“The song is a double-entendre,” he says. “In a literal sense it’s about an estranged father who for whatever reason was not able to be present in his family’s life. Also, the business of music can sometimes pull you away from the art of making it. So metaphorically it’s a story about a musician, and in theory his songs are his children. It was also recorded on a Wednesday.”
