Damon Dash on Intelligent Boss Moves
In the midst of recording reality shows, Damon Dash was featured in the next episode of Intelligent Boss Moves. The 30-minute conversation focused on the Harlem businessman reflecting on his past accomplishments, as well as maintaining a level of integrity and freedom to pursue other ventures outside of rap. He also went to share a story on the roll-out of Kanye West in the early 2000s, which himself and partner Biggs were the only ones who believed in his career.
While Yeezy didn’t fit the traditional look at being a street rapper on Roc-A-Fella, Dame even cited how Jay-Z was against giving him a deal, initially, until the entire camp witnessed his work ethic – more so after his life-threatening vehicle wreck in Los Angeles.
