Records, as Irv Gotti is plotting an official biopic TV series for the record label and the launch of Ja Rule’s recent reality show. Above, the legendary Queens music producer-mogul sat down with Complex TV to open up on how he fought for DMX to have a career at Def Jam. He soon opened up on how Jay-Z, Dame Dash and Lyor Cohen initially didn’t believe in the Darkman, but once “Get At Me Dog” released, the two changed the landscape for music during 1998.
