Daye Jack is getting ready to release his second album titled Black to the Culdesac soon. Today, he’s back with a video for the first single “Heart Shaped Culdesac,” which is an ode to hometown of Duluth, Georgia and was written after living in Los Angeles for two years.
“The video is about transitioning from being the kid to finding your adult self,” Jack told The FADER. “It’s also about hoping more minority and immigrant kids get to experience life with a “safety net” — where failing isn’t a fear but just a part of growing up. On a set, the drama and the risks are all pre-planned for the overall good of the movie. This video, to me, is knowing you have to look at life from that same angle.”
