Genius sat down with the man behind the beat, T-Minus, to break down how the beat came about and what he did to it to make it such a slap. The producer reveals that he was going for a Bay Area sound on it, keeping it simple and sending it to Drizzy to preview. He loved it because apparently, he cut the track right away. Minus also said him and Boi-1da share sounds, which is the reason why he used the same clap from Lil Wayne‘s “Bill Gates.”
