Nope, not Chester. Rising London singer Desta French is sharing a video for her new single “Needing U,” and it’s really something special. Directed by Jesse Gassongo Alexander, the new visual finds Desta dancing with her partner Kirubel, to a song that feels fresh and vintage at the same time. The fact that it samples Souls of Mischief’s “93′ Til Infinity” probably has something to do with it.
“‘I like the idea of mixing reality, or things that are factually real to me on a day to day basis, with something more fantastical,” Desta says about the video. “I feel it comes naturally for me to do this through movement and just being playful.”
