The DJ Mustard takeover is very real, and yesterday on MTV RapFix Live, Mustard and YG dropped by to promote YG’s debut album, My Krazy Life. Among the things discussed in the interview, a recent Justin Bieber Instagram video was brought up, in which Buggati Bieber played a new record that is produced by DJ Mustard, and of course it sounded like an eventual banger. Mustard then went on to talk about working with Bieber, saying he wants to executive produce his entire album, and that they could be the next Timbaland and Justin Timberlake combo.
We are all for this happening and actually would encourage Mustard and Bieber to do this ASAP. The DJ Mustard takeover has been a bright spot in the industry lately, and him doing an entire album with Bieber would be a wonderful thing. We can only hope we get that first collaboration sooner than later.
